Star City Compost is Southwest Virginia's only certified composting facility. Serving Roanoke area homes and businesses, this project is a major accomplishment in the creation of a restorative and regenerative circular economy. 

This labor of love reflects years of planning, education, and hard work, and shows that we should never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
